David has been involved in the private equity industry for over 30 years. He has made a number of innovative and successful investments and has worked with private equity fund managers and institutional investors in addressing the often complex challenges they face. David has led a wide range of transactions, many of which involved multiple strategic and transactional issues, including manager spin-outs with investor group rebalancing, direct secondary acquisitions with associated fund-raising and fund reconstruction and renegotiation.
He was a leading adviser on M&A for private equity fund management businesses, having led the first such deal in the UK in 1993 and many more since then.
He was also PE industry expert witness for Charterhouse in the 2014 High Court dispute regarding its value as a PE fund manager.
